My heart continues to hurt for the victims of yesterday’s unspeakable tragedy in Connecticut. As a father of two, I could not imagine what those families are experiencing. In fact, I don’t want to even think about it.

I do know one thing, sports becomes meaningless when something like this occurs. However, sports does provide a special outlet during times like these.

I consider myself super lucky to be able to talk about sports, via a podcast and a blog, numerous times a week. I am lucky enough to use this as an escape from everything that goes on in my busy life.

However, we must all remember that sports isn’t everything. Most of all, after a tragedy where 20 innocent children lost their lives, but it does provide the perfect escape during the tough times in our lives.
