After an action packed Quarterfinal round, we have reached the final 4 in region 4. The most competitive region in D1 has two Semifinal Matchups that will have a major impact on state title implications. In this article we will break down both of these matchups and give our predictions.

Lakota West vs. Princeton

Two GMC heavyweights will face off one again and this time it’s for all the marbles. Back in week 2 Princeton defeated West 18-3 and went on to grab a 10-0 record and the GMC title. But since that loss, the Lakota West Firebirds have rattled off 10 in a row and made a QB change that saved their season. Both teams enter with stout defenses, as they both rank top end in the GMC. Wests offense has exploded since that week 2 loss, and QB Sam Wiles has looked phenomenal throwing for over 1000 yards. This is a much better West team than in week 2, and their defense is arguably the best in the city.

Cincy FNL Prediction: Lakota West 31-21

Moeller vs. Mason

Big Moe comes in firing on all cylinders after getting a big win over heated rival Saint X. The Crusaders are thrilled to have Michigan RB commit Jordan Marshall back after missing multiple weeks with a injury. Mason comes in hot as well after upsetting #1 seed Milford 10-9. These two met last year in the semifinals where Moeller took the win 24-16. Masons defense is stout but the Moeller offense will just be too much for the Comets.

Cincy FNL Prediction: Moeller 34-10
