The NKU Norse have made it back to back wins in Division 1 play.

Thursday it was Hampton. On Saturday, the victims were the United States Naval Academy. The Norse were able to pull out a 55-46 victory, in Annapolis, riding the tail of Ernest “Stretch” Watson. The win moved the Norse to 2-6 on the season. With the loss, Navy fell to 6-7.

Watson scored a career high 19 points to lead the Norse. Watson shot 7-11 from the field, including 3-4 from beyond the arc.

Jalen Billups and Eshaunte Jones contributed 14 and 13 points respectively. Those three were the only ones who scored in double figures for the Norse.

The game was tied at the half at 23. The Norse made a nice second half run to get the victory.

The Norse dominated this game, in pretty much every facet, including out rebounding the Midshipmen, 35-20.

The Norse are in action again on New Years Eve, as they begin Atlantic Sun play, against Jacksonville.
