Today is the day that football fans have been waiting for.

In just over 5 hours, the 2013 college football season kicks off.

For some people, this is the best time of the year. The crisp, cool air. The sound of helmets and pads crashing into each other. It may be the best sound in sports. There is nothing like football season.

To start us off, there is a slate of solid games. It all begins with watching one of the best defensive players in football, South Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney.

Clowney is set to anchor a solid defense and to most experts, also make a run at the Heisman Trophy. Clowney is hoping to help propel the Gamecocks to a SEC Championship and a BCS Championship.

One can be certain, this will be a great college football season that will be filled with excitement, upsets and definitely some BCS controversy.
