The second week of the college football season is the most telling. This is the week where most teams come back to reality and show you what they really are. There a few things to look for today, two of those are in the state of Michigan.
1. Harbaugh returns to the Big House
The long awaited return to the Big House for Jim Harbaugh is one of the big storylines in week two. The Wolverines return to Ann Arbor with a bad taste in their mouths, after the tough loss to Utah.
The Oregon State Beavers (1-0) are going to try and spoil Harbaugh’s return. This should be an entertaining game. Michigan played well in the opener but came up short. Expect the Wolverines to come out ready to roll.
2. Another Oregon-Michigan matchup
This is the highest profile game between the state schools and the first top 10
matchup this season. The Spartans are looking to avenge their loss last season at Oregon.
The Spartans look to be the main player to challenge Ohio State for the Big 10 title so a win against Oregon will be a great start. The Ducks are lead by Eastern Washington transfer Vernon Adams Jr. Look for the Spartans defense to step up tonight.
3. Conference play begins in SEC
The SEC begins conference play with a few matchups. Kentucky heads to South Carolina in an intriguing matchup. The Georgia Bulldogs take on a weakened Vanderbilt team. The marquee matchup is LSU heading to Starkville to face Dak Prescott and Mississippi State.
