This season has been one of the most memorable college football recently. With the crazy finishes and the great plays, it is safe to say the college football season has been very interesting to say the least. Last week was a big week in terms of the college football playoff rankings. A highly ranked TCU team got stomped out at the hands of Oklahoma State in Stillwater. What will be in store this weekend? As we have throughout the first 10 weeks of the season, Jin and myself look at what is coming up this weekend in college football.

1. Can Baylor, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State prove the Big 12 belongs in the playoff rankings?

This is another big weekend for the Big 12 in terms of the college football playoff rankings and how the committee views the conference. There is clearly a bias against the Big 12 and the PAC 12 which are more geared towards high powered offenses. Most importantly, both are west of the Mississippi. The committee clearly doesn’t take into account teams who are in a different time zone than the Eastern Standard. With Baylor hosting Oklahoma in a nationally televised prime time matchup, both teams can make a statement. Meanwhile the Oklahoma State Cowboys head to Ames to face a struggling Iowa State team.
