Coming off a heartbreaking 1-0 defeat to the Charleston Battery in their USL debut, the boys from FC Cincinnati look to rebound today against the Bethlehem Steel. FC Cincinnati received much praise from around the country after their debut, as they weathered the storm and took it to the Battery for much of the second half. The boys in orange and blue had many things going against them but were able to overcome the odds and put together a good showing. It wasn’t until injury time, when a ball was in the back of the net, unfortunately for FCC fans, it was Romario Williams who made the Battery fans ecstatic.

Today’s opponent, the Bethlehem Steel, are coming off a 1-0 victory over FC Montreal in their opener last week and will look to storm to the top of the Eastern Conference with another win today. Philadelphia Union draft pick, Fabian Herbers scored the lone goal for Bethlehem, giving them the full three points. The Steel (1-0-0) now sit sixth in the Eastern Conference, tied with three other clubs on three points. FC Cincinnati (0-1-0) is tied with three clubs on zero points.

Bethlehem is another club that plays their matches in a college stadium. The play at Lehigh University’s Goodman Stadium. FC Cincinnati are looking to build upon their solid performance in their first game. A win for the boys in orange and blue will put them into a tie with their next opponent.
