We are a game or two into the season and we have seen some great college football already. Last week saw a few of the big teams struggle while we saw a couple of massive upsets. With some huge games tonight, the landscape of the college football season is certainly going to take shape. Can the favorites continue to roll? Will we see a couple more upsets today? These are just some of the questions that will be answered before the end of the day.
1. Can the Oklahoma Sooners return the favor in Columbus?
The biggest game on the college football slate takes place in Columbus when the second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes host the fifth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners in the second half of their home and home series. Last year, the Buckeyes went in to Norman and destroyed the Sooners, 45-24. That was the last loss Oklahoma suffered, going on to finish the season unbeaten. Can Oklahoma head into a hostile Columbus and look to knock off the loaded Buckeyes? Last week, Indiana made things a little difficult on the Ohio State defense but ultimately fell. If the Sooners can protect Heisman trophy candidate Baker Mayfield, they will have a solid chance to pull off the upset.
2. Will Clemson continue their roll from the championship season last year?
Another huge matchup takes place at Clemson, when the defending national champions, host a solid Auburn Tigers team. Clemson is coming off a 56-3 destruction of Kent State while Auburn knocked off Georgia Southern 41-7. Will Clemson be able to stay on their great roll and knock off of the better teams in the country. A victory for either team in this matchup will propel them to what could be a fantastic season.
3. Can the USC Trojans rebound from a rough game when they take on Stanford?
The highly ranked USC Trojans were one of the biggest surprises from last week, when they struggled at home against Western Michigan. The Broncos made things difficult for Sam Darnold and the Trojans all day, before USC was finally able to pull away. Things will get much tougher this week, as the 14th ranked Stanford Cardinal head down to Los Angeles. Stanford started off their season two weeks ago in Sydney, Australia, blowing out the Rice Owls 62-7. The tough travel schedule could take its toll on the Cardinal but the level of this rivalry game will change their mentality. This is another game that a win for either team will go a long way in helping them build a successful season.

Alabama stays on top with their performance against Florida State last weekend. Ohio State does fall a little as they struggled on the road at Indiana. Facing Oklahoma in primetime will certainly shoot them up the rankings with a victory. Impressive performances by Penn State and Michigan gave them a favorable ranking. The team that took the farthest fall was USC as they did not look too good at home against Western Michigan.
