The college football season has been great thus far and this week should be nothing short of great again. Last week saw a few contenders get knocked off while other teams have made a push for the playoffs as well. With the Big 12 having a few teams making some noise this season, all eyes will on the performance of their teams. There are some questions that will get answered this week and some teams that could take a hit. Let’s sit back and enjoy another great weekend of college football.

1. Will Oklahoma State continue to roll in the Big 12 or will they fall to another team from Texas?

Aside from their slip up against TCU in Stillwater, the Cowboys have been very impressive. Oklahoma State has scored no less than 31 points in their five games so far this season. There will be a lot of points scored in this game as both defenses are allowing over 24 points per game. Look for Mason Rudolph to do a number on the Longhorn defense. Can Texas rebound from a tough loss to Oklahoma last week in the Red River Showdown.

2. Will this be the last game for Butch Jones at Tennessee?

Things are not looking good for Butch Jones in Knoxville. The Tennessee Volunteers have been nothing short of a massive disappointment this season. Coming into this week a 3-3 record, look for another loss to be added as they head south to face Alabama. Winless in the SEC was the worst case scenario as they have dropped games against Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. With the pressure to get rid of Jones really mounting, if Tennessee can’t have a good showing today, there is a solid chance Jones won’t make the return trip to Knoxville.

3. Which team can survive the big rivalry game in South Bend?

The premier game on this weeks schedule comes from South Bend when the 6-1 USC Trojans head east to take on 5-1 Notre Dame. Both teams come into this game with serious national playoff hopes and the winner of this game will make a serious push for the top four. The Trojans have won two of the last three in this series, both of those victories in Los Angeles. Notre Dame has won the last two played in South Bend. This will be a great matchup between two teams and should not disappoint.
