The NFL released the schedules for all teams Thursday night and in typical NFL fashion, it was an event. With live sports still waiting to be approved and come to the forefront of the American sports viewer, the NFL has once again capitalized on the lack of sports to have all eyes on the league. With the schedules for all 32 teams being released, let’s take a look at what rookie quarterback Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals will have to face in 2020.

While 2019 was brutal for the Bengals tying a franchise record worst 2-14 record, one of the benefits of that, is having an easier schedule the following season. With Andy Dalton now a member of the Dallas Cowboys, the reigns have most certainly been handed over to Burrow so navigating one of the easier schedules in the league could be seen as more of a benefit for the rookie. Like with most seasons, the North division will be the class of the AFC, so the non-division matchups will be key. This season, the Bengals will be facing some of the youngest quarterbacks in the league. Matchups against Justin Herbert, Tua, Daniel Jones, Lamar Jackson, Dwayne Haskins and Deshaun Watson all will face the Bengals this year. Also featured on the schedule are visits from former Bengals, Andy Dalton and Tyler Eifert. Burrow and the Bengals will be featured in primetime twice, once at home and another on the road. The Bengals will kick it off in week 2 with a trip up to Cleveland to face the Browns on Thursday Night Football. The Steelers traveling to Cincinnati in week 15 will be a Monday Night Football matchup. The schedule does line up nicely for the Bengals to surprise a few teams. With the talent amassed this offseason, the Bengals will most certainly not go 2-14 like last season. At first glance, this will be a fun season to watch the new look Bengals take on the rest of the league. Stay tuned as we will be taking a more in-depth look ahead at the Cincinnati Bengals as they head into the regular season and a possible push to the playoffs.
