This past week has been a very dark cloud over Major League Baseball. Since the decision by MLB owner’s on December 1, 2021, to lock out the players, the nightmare of cancelling games was a realistic possibility. On Tuesday, March 1, 2022, that nightmare became a reality. The inability for the league and the players’ union to come to an agreement on a new CBA (collective bargaining agreement) caused the league to cancel the first two games of the regular season.
