As the song goes, “it’s the most wonderful time of the year.” That statement couldn’t be any more accurate, as football season gets ramped up with the college season set to get underway this weekend. The high school season is in full swing, and the NFL is a preseason game away from being in regular season mode. Now, it is time for the college teams to get going. That happens this weekend with Week 0 kicking off. There are a few questions that will need to be answered and they will all play out as the season does. Can the Georgia Bulldogs repeat and capture a third straight national championship? With Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State just some of the teams battling it out in the BIG TEN, who will come away with the playoff spot that will almost certainly go to the conference champ? Perhaps the biggest story throughout the college football world is the Colorado Buffaloes. Deion Sanders took the Colorado job and immediately rocketed the program as the most talked about program in the country. Colorado went 1-11 last season so Deion has his work cut out for him. Sanders has brought in some of the top players from around the country with him to Boulder. Will the Buffaloes rebound and make a bowl game for the first since 2020, which was a COVID year. Another thing to watch is the Heisman race? Will Caleb Williams be the first player to win the Heisman twice since Ohio State running back, Archie Griffin.

With the season about to head into full swing, we here at Impact Sports have come up with our preseason top 10, Heisman hopefulls and our four playoff teams, as we look ahead as to what to expect this season in college football.

Just like every year, the college football season is a nightmare to navigate. It is very hard to come away with little to no flaws or setbacks. Even the great teams face massive adversity at some point during the season. There are some really good games that will set the tone for the season. This season, there are really no clear cut conference champion. Despite the fact Georgia and Michigan are the two top teams, there is no guarantee they win their conferences. These teams have to battle it out just like every other team in the country. The college football season is under way and there is no better time of the year, so sit back and enjoy what should be another fantastic college football season.
