The Bengals are coming off a victory in week 1 over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Cincinnati has a tough start to the season, having to face three playoff teams from last season and one of their biggest rivals in the first four games. Starting off the season with a home victory was just what was needed for the Bengals and their revamped defense. The Bengals forced four turnovers, all fumbles, with one of those fumbles being returned for a touchdown. There was an interception that was called back due to defensive pass interference.

Now, one of the tougher teams in the league from last season, the Houston Texans. Houston is coming into this week 2 matchup fresh off an opening week loss at home to the Buffalo Bills. It was uncharacteristic for the Houston defense to get diced up like they did. Now comes the Cincinnati Bengals in one of the most intriguing matchups of the week 2 slate.

Let’s take a look at the breakdown between these two teams heading into this matchup.

This is a big game for both teams. If the Bengals can come into Houston and come away with a win, the Bengals will be set up for a nice run. Houston needs a win this week to avoid an 0-2 start. This will be a crucial game but much more for Houston than Cincinnati.
