This weekend is one of the best in sports.

The NFL playoffs begin today. This weekend consists of the four wild card games.

The round kicks off with a rematch from last years Wild Card round, the Bengals visiting the AFC South Champions, Houston Texans.

AFC Wild Card Game 1:

Bengals @ Texans: In a rematch of last years playoff meeting, the Bengals once again head south to take on Houston. This game will be much different than last years game. The Bengals are coming into the playoffs on a high note, winning 7 of their last 8 games. The Texans are coming into the playoffs on a downward spiral. Houston had a firm grip on the #1 seed overall, until they lost 3 of their last 4 games.

Last season, the Bengals were easily dispatched from the playoffs, as the Texans dominated the Bengals 31-10. The Bengals last playoff win occurred on Jan. 6, 1991.

Enough with the history. This game hinges on the Bengals defense. If the Bengals can shut down or even slow down Arian Foster, the Bengals pass rush will do the rest.

Right now, the Bengals are the better team. Will that translate into a Bengals victory? We will certainly find out in a couple of hours.

FTI Pick: Bengals 24 – Texans 21

NFC Wild Card Game 1:

Vikings @ Packers: This is a rematch from last week. The Vikings won 37-34 in last weeks match up. This game will definitely be different. Right now, the Packers are my pick to make it to the Super Bowl from the NFC.

The Packers will roll in this game, even though Vikings running back, Adrian Peterson will have another big game.

FTI Pick: Packers 35 – Vikings 17
